The Second Stage of Armenian-Japanese Joint Project is Successful
Levon Mnatsakanyan, Executive director of SME Development National Center of Armenia (SME DNC) evaluated highly the "Development of Local Production and Local Brands Promotion - Phase 2" program during the meeting with Katsutoshi Fushimi, representative from Uzbekistan office of Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA ).
 
They also discussed the possibility of constructing  a roadside station in Syunik Region. The meeting was also attended by Hiromitsu Murray, JICA office representative , Ruzan Khojikyan, JICA  Armenian Office Coordinator, Takako Mochizuki, JICA expert, Ms. Megumi Maekawa, the representative of Japanese Embassy in Armenia,   , Karen Gevorgyan, Deputy Executive Director of SME DNC of Armenia and  Lilit Apujanyan, Head of the International Cooperation Department.
 
 
In his speech Karen Gevorgyan specified that within the framework of Armenian-Japanese cooperation the experience exchange was particularly important. During their visit to Japan in February SME staff members were introduced to the ways and tools for development of local and SME sector support. Moreover, they became familiar with the role of local authorities and public-private sector partnership mechanisms.
