Kees van Vught, a Dutch expert held a special session for cheese makers of Armenia in the regions of Lori and Gegharkunik. The expert conducted a professional training for 15 cheese producers, visited their factories, provided an on-site consultation, and performed a test-cheese making of Gouda and Mozzarella.
During the training, the expert introduced the samples of cheese produced in the Netherlands. At the end of the training manufacturers had an open discussion with the van Vught concerning the cheese production. The training and consultation were carried out in the frameworks of an agreement signed between Armenia SME DNC and "PUM'' Netherlands Senior Experts organization. Kees van Vught's visit was financed by USAID-funded “Partnerships for Rural Prosperity” (USAID/PRP) Program, implemented by Small and Medium Entrepreneurship Development National Center (SME DNC) of Armenia and its partners.
On the September 20, 2016 SME DNC of Armenia and ''PUM'' Netherlands Senior Experts signed a cooperation agreement.
The core objective is to promote the dissemination of experience and knowledge of Dutch senior experts among SMEs in Armenia. On a voluntary basis Dutch specialists provide expertise and technical consultation, which enhance SMEs’ engagement in international market, emphasizing the importance of applying the best international practices.
